I have taken the decision to stop playing competitive professional golf. This is not a decision that I have taken lightly. Whilst I feel that I am playing some of the best golf I have ever played, and in the best physical shape I feel that the time has to come pursue other interests and challenges in the world of golf,  horse racing and otherwise.

I am proud of my achievements in my golf career, including overcoming a number of serious injuries to get back onto the golf course when I was told my chances were slim. I believe this dedication, determination and perseverance will stand me in good stead for the future.

Some of the highlights of my career will include qualifying three years in a row for the Final Stage of the Ricoh British Open. Looking back, my proudest moment may well be qualifying in July last year for the Final Qualifying Stage for the Ricoh British Open, in front of my father, just a couple of weeks before he passed away. I am so pleased that I was able to give him so much joy in his last few days.

Looking ahead I believe I can use my skills and knowledge from both the golf and horse racing industries to good use.
